Crockpot Pulled Pork
Products: Fat D's BBQ - Southern Gentleman Original BBQ Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 4 - 6 lbs. boneless pork butt
- 1 can Coke (root beer or ginger ale)
- 1.5 cups Fat D's BBQ Southern Gentleman
- 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp. yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp. paprika
- 1 tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tbsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 Lg onion, chopped (optional)
- 12 soft potato rolls
- Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the pork butt into the slow cooker.
- Pour in 1/2 cup Fat D's BBQ Sauce and coke.
- Stir in brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, chili powder, mustard, minced garlic, onion and pepper.
- Cover slow cooker with lid and cook pork mixture on high setting, 5 to 6 hours or until pork is very tender.
- With tongs, transfer pork to large bowl and shred meat using 2 forks, discarding any remaining fat, bones or skin.
- Drain the juices from the crock pot through a strainer and dump back in onion and meat that was saved.
- Return shredded pork to slow cooker and 1 cup Fat D's BBQ sauce. Cover slow cooker and heat through on high setting for 15-20 minutes (if needed).
- Spoon pork mixture onto bottom of sandwich buns; replace tops of buns. Add additional Fat D's BBQ Sauce to taste. Serve sandwiches with pickles and potato chips if you like.
