Crockpot Pulled Pork

Products: Fat D's BBQ - Southern Gentleman Original BBQ Sauce


  • 1 tsp vegetable oil
  • 4 - 6 lbs. boneless pork butt
  • 1 can Coke (root beer or ginger ale)
  • 1.5 cups Fat D's BBQ Southern Gentleman
  • 1/4 c. dark brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper
  • 2 tsp. minced garlic
  • 1 Lg onion, chopped (optional)
  • 12 soft potato rolls
  1. Pour the vegetable oil into the bottom of the slow cooker. Place the pork butt into the slow cooker.
  2. Pour in 1/2 cup Fat D's BBQ Sauce and coke.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, chili powder, mustard, minced garlic, onion and pepper.
  4. Cover slow cooker with lid and cook pork mixture on high setting, 5 to 6 hours or until pork is very tender.
  5. With tongs, transfer pork to large bowl and shred meat using 2 forks, discarding any remaining fat, bones or skin.
  6. Drain the juices from the crock pot through a strainer and dump back in onion and meat that was saved.
  7. Return shredded pork to slow cooker and 1 cup Fat D's BBQ sauce. Cover slow cooker and heat through on high setting for 15-20 minutes (if needed).
  8. Spoon pork mixture onto bottom of sandwich buns; replace tops of buns. Add additional Fat D's BBQ Sauce to taste. Serve sandwiches with pickles and potato chips if you like.
